We have been promising parents since we opened that we would have a properly fenced outside area. Ofsted said during our registration visit that we should use temporary fencing until we had an idea of what we needed and now we do! This makes our outside area safe, secure and the children have freedom to play within safe limitations!
The children have also been busy planting! We now have four strawberry plants in hanging baskets and in our first planter we have two cherry tomatoes, two beef tomatoes, one cabbage, three courgettes, three cucumber plants, and three rainbow carrots! In our second planter we have Rosemary, Mint, Thyme, Sage, Flat Parsley, Curly Parsley, Chives, Garlic and Beetroot.
The children are really enjoying watering them every day and looking forward to eating the fresh sustainable produce that they can grow with their own green fingers!
